From the mouth of Sharon, Daphna's mom: "Daphna Leah Sagel was diagnosed two weeks after her second birthday with an aggressive and fast growing rare brain tumor. Although, it has been removed she is currently in the middle of receiving chemotherapy treatment. She is the youngest of 9 children who love and miss her very much while she is hospitalized for her prolonged therapy and treatments. Daphna is a strong little girl; she is a fighter and with your help and prayers she will continue to be strong and fight this horrible disease".

From the mouth of Jake, Tzvi's dad: “ Tzvi Mark is not your typical 13 year old! Tzvi was born with Spina Bifida and a number of other medical complications and diagnosis that often accompany it. He has been through 12 different surgeries, many procedures, MRI’s, and has daily treatments, pain, and worry! And yet Tzvi is filled with happiness and is always looking for the good in things. He is an extremely inspiring person to his two older sisters, family, friends, and anyone who meets him! He is a true warrior!! One thing that gets Tzvi through the year is being able to go to Camp Simcha each summer! And one of his ultimate favorite days at camp is bike for Chai!!! It is an indescribable experience that really gives him the Simcha and strength to keep on going!!!”

This summer, for the 6th time, I am excited to take part in Bike4Chai, an exhilarating 100-mile cycling event benefiting the children and families of Chai Lifeline. Every mile I ride and every dollar I raise will help support more than two-dozen essential programs for more than 5,900 children and families confronting pediatric illness, crisis, and loss. These services include counseling and case management, meals delivered to hospitals and homes, transportation to medical appointments, emergency financial assistance, insurance advocacy, i-Shine afterschool programming, Big Brothers/Sisters, Project Chai crisis intervention, and Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, Chai Lifeline’s flagship medically-supervised summer programs.

Life for a child with cancer, disability, or other serious illness is grueling. From the moment of diagnosis, Chai Lifeline’s dedicated staff and volunteers are there to provide joy, hope, and unparalleled care throughout the turbulent medical journey.

I am riding in hope that through the charity I raise, Hashem will bless Tzvi Mark and Daphna Leah Sagel with a speedy and full recovery. They fighting challenges that most people cannot fathom. They are strong - but need help. I am also riding in the the memory of my late and very much missed friend Ed who taught me so much about life.

My objective is to raise $10,000, and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

On behalf of the children of Chai Lifeline, thank you for your support.

As part of my Bat Mitzvah project I raised tzedakah for the Refuah Shelaimah for Daphna Sagel. Daphna is such a happy, beautiful and playful toddler and such a blessing to our world. May Hashem bless her with a full recovery. I want to thank every one who supported me with purchasing my home made keychains. I definitely could not have done it without all of your support. You all have made such a difference for Chai Lifeline.
